It was womens month in March and we set out to empower the amazing women with the MTN Yellopreneur Initiative, led by the MTN Foundation.The MTN Yellopreneur initiative was conceived with the vision to combat female unemployment and empower female entrepreneurs. Since its inception, the initiative has equipped over 4000 women entrepreneurs with a blend of capacity-building skills and access to resources like loans, grants, and advisory services.In 2023, Yellopreneur phase 1, had participants who were trained in the fundamentals of Business Management & Development amongst other relevant skills. At its end, the women got the opportunity to vie to each receive up to N3 million in equipment loans.By the phase 2 launch in March, 150 exceptional female entrepreneurs, spread across target industries like manufacturing, processing, agriculture, ICT/digital services, and waste management, will be announced beneficiaries of the N3 million loan.The Yellopreneur initiative offers a transformative 5-week online entrepreneurial skills and masterclass for over 1000 female entrepreneurs and has been in existence since 2022.
