At MTN, when we say Go Make A Difference, we mean it and we begin by leading the charge ourselves. That is why from June 27th to 30^th we did not hesitate to partner with Ecobank for their 2025 edition of the Ecobank National Schools’ Team Chess Championship. It was a remarkable initiative designed to identify and empower the next generation of grandmasters and changemakers.

The first day of the event brought together 985 amazing young minds under one roof, all competing simultaneously in an inspiring display of focus, brilliance, and the true spirit of sportsmanship. The days that followed were nothing short of extraordinary, reflecting talent and excellence.
Adding to the excitement was the presence of Tunde Onakoya, our Go Make A Difference ambassador, who championed and cheered the players on with passion and pride.
