On 31st July, we hosted an exclusive Champions’ Breakfast at the prestigious Eko Hotel to celebrate the Super Falcons’ remarkable triumph at the recently concluded WAFCON 2024. The event honored Nigeria’s national women’s football team following their spectacular comeback victory against Morocco in the tournament finals.
The Super Falcons delivered a performance for the ages at WAFCON 2024, powering through the group stage and navigating the knockout rounds with grit and determination. Their campaign reached a dramatic climax in the finals, where they overturned a 2-0 deficit to defeat host nation Morocco and secure their 10th WAFCON title, a feat that has been described as “MissionX accomplished.”
In recognition of this historic achievement, MTN’s executive team and staff welcomed the champions home in grand style. The event featured the symbolic presentation of the coveted trophy and a N150 million cheque to the team for their outstanding performance.
