The MTN mPulse Spelling Bee continued its tradition of celebrating academic excellence as the 2025 edition brought together some of Nigeria’s most talented young spellers from schools across the country.

This year’s competition recorded thousands of entries nationwide, followed by a series of energetic regional finales in Abuja, Enugu, and Ibadan. After intense rounds, twenty outstanding students earned their place in Lagos for the national grand finale, competing for ₦40 million worth of prizes, scholarship support, and the prestigious opportunity to serve as MTN CEO for a Day; a hallmark feature of the competition and one of its most anticipated rewards.

The 2025 edition concluded with standout performances and inspiring displays of confidence, spelling mastery, and determination. Oreoluwa Alayande emerged the national champion and will assume the symbolic CEO role from MTN Nigeria CEO, Karl Toriola, as part of the leadership immersion experience that has become synonymous with the Spelling Bee initiative.
