The Future Just Switched On. MTN is Raising the Bar for Digital Infrastructure.
Date: July 1, 2025
Location: Lagos
On July 1st, we reached a new milestone and it’s one we’re truly excited about. We officially launched the MTN Enterprise Cloud Platform and unveiled the Dabengwa Data Centre, a Tier III-certified facility designed to power Nigeria’s digital future.
This is more than an infrastructure upgrade. It’s a commitment to businesses that want to grow, innovate, and stay ahead in a world that’s moving fast. The digital space is evolving, and we’re building the kind of infrastructure that keeps you ready, secure, scalable, and locally rooted.
We named the Data Centre after the late Sifiso Dabengwa, former MTN Group CEO. If you knew his story, then you understand why. He was a visionary who believed in Africa’s potential to lead in technology, and this project carries that same spirit, bold, forward-thinking, and built to last.
The launch brought together a powerful mix of voices from federal and state government leaders to technology regulators, industry stakeholders, and senior executives across the MTN Group. Their presence reflected a shared belief in the importance of secure local infrastructure, innovation-led growth, and digital sovereignty. It was a proud and defining moment.
So, what does this mean for you? It means access to secure, compliant, and high-performing cloud services, right here at home. It means your data stays local, your operations stay efficient, and your business stays future ready. And with local support teams and flexible payment options, we’ve made sure it works for the realities of doing business in Nigeria.
The Dabengwa Data Centre and MTN Cloud Platform are ready, and we can’t wait to see what you build with them. Here’s to a future powered by purpose, built in Africa, and delivered at global standards.
