From April 2nd to 5th, 2025, the heart of Egbaland came alive with energy, tradition, and pride as MTN proudly sponsored the Lisabi Festival – an iconic celebration that honours the legacy of Lisabi Agbongbo Akala, the fearless warrior and revered hero of the Egba people.

The festival was a breathtaking showcase of Egba heritage, bringing together communities in Abeokuta and beyond for four days of drumming, dancing, traditional theatre, and deep cultural expression. Streets turned into performance stages, rhythms echoed through the city, and the spirit of unity was impossible to miss.
