Goals galore, music, freebies, food, and drinks were in abundance at the football match between Nigerian celebrities, media personalities, and comedians to mark World Malaria Day. World malaria day is observed annually on the 25th of April to focus on the devastating effects of Malaria on families and communities.

This was a viable and friendly football tournament among Nigerian celebrities to drive support for the eradication of malaria. The event was held at the Campos Mini Stadium in Lagos Island on the 25th of April, 2022.

The event witnessed celebrities such as Frank Edoho, Hyenana, Lasisi Elenu, Aproko Doctor, Uti, Femi Obong Daniels, Eso Dike, Sir Dee, Kofi tha Guru, Oluwadolarz, Funky Mallam and a host of others.

There was free malaria testing and treatment, distribution of insecticide-treated bed nets, insecticides and counselling.

The football tournament initiative, which we are proud to have sponsored, is a step toward creating awareness about the effects of Malaria and was a huge success. Comedians and popular figures have all had the privilege of taking part in such campaigns differently, and it was great to have such numbers band together towards a common goal.

As Malaria is a silent killer, it’s always good to have a team ready to run down the field and save humanity from such a disease.
