MTN Nigeria joined the Carry1st Africa Cup 2026 Finals as a supporting partner, backing one of the most significant gaming competitions on the African continent.

Now in its third year, the Carry1st Africa Cup has established itself as a key platform for competitive gaming across Africa, bringing together top talent from regional qualifiers to compete at the highest level. The 2026 Finals took place over two days at the Los Angeles Event Centre in Abuja, drawing elite gamers who had earned their place through months of regional competition.

At stake was a grand prize of $10,000 and the opportunity to represent Africa at the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, a global stage that underscores just how far African gaming has come.

After 48 hours of intense competition, Paradox Gaming emerged as the Carry1st Africa Cup 2026 champions, defeating every opponent on their path to the title. The team will now carry the African flag to the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship on the global stage.

MTN Nigeria’s presence at the finals reflects its recognition of gaming as a growing cultural and economic force among young Nigerians and Africans at large — and its commitment to being part of the spaces where that generation thrives.
