MTN Nigeria at Ember2Remember National Conference
Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos
On September 14, 2026, MTN Nigeria joined public and private sector leaders at the Ember2Remember National Stakeholders Conference in Lagos. A landmark gathering focused on unlocking Nigeria’s potential as a world-class tourism destination.
The conference, held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, brought together some of the most influential voices in Nigeria’s tourism and creative economy ecosystem. Among those in attendance were Hannatu Musa Musawa, Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy; Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria; Idowu Adesokan, General Manager, Consumer Segments, MTN Nigeria; Paul Onwuanibe, CEO, Landmark Group; Ifeoma Mbonu, CEO, MyCityApp; and a broad coalition of stakeholders from across the sector.
MTN Nigeria’s CMO, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, delivered a special address, while Idowu Adesokan participated in a panel session that explored the strategies and investments needed to build Nigeria’s tourism sector into a multi-billion dollar economic force. The conversations centred on the intersection of culture, creativity, technology, connectivity, and commerce as drivers of that transformation.
The conference marks one of the first major activations under MTN Nigeria’s partnership with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy through See Naija, to document, celebrate, and amplify Nigeria’s culture, people, places, and stories. The ambition is clear: a $100 billion tourism economy for Nigeria, and Ember2Remember was the opening statement.
